Yes it was absolutely fine
What were the benefits to you of choosing this route/qualification?

I wanted to progress towards chartered membership and having done part of the diploma it was necessary to complete the whole diploma or do an NVQ. As I was funding this myself it was better financially to go the NVQ route.
Have you changed your grade of IOSH membership since completion of the qualification?

Yes, I was a TechIOSH and now I am a GradIOSH
Did you gain support in other areas beyond the assessment of your work for the NVQ?

Not really, but I am sure that this would have been available had I needed it
Would you recommend the NVQ route to others and why?

Absolutely. There is a fair amount of work but if you knuckle down its do-able and you get a great sense of achievement
Do you plan further professional development? I.e. progression to higher qualifications/IOSH membership.

Yes indeed, I have applied to IOSH to start on the Chartered membership route.
