GENERAL

A 11 unit qualification aimed at those who manage the Health and Safety Function within their organisation and in particular can demonstrate their competence, not only in areas of Health and Safety, but in the supporting Management Functions of Resourcing, Finance, Personnel and Training.

Candidates can get exemption from several units within the qualification structure dependant on the previous experience and qualifications they can present. There is a wide element of choice within the qualification structure to accommodate a range of learning preferences.

The qualification is suitable for Health and Safety Professionals, as well as those who are already competent in other related disciplines but who want to add Health and safety Competence to their remit without operating as a practitioner. PROCESS

Potential candidates for this programme should initially contact the centre for a detailed overview of the structure of the NVQ. After an initial informal discussion it is recommended that candidates provide an initial resume relating to their role and responsibilities as well as answering a questionnaire relating to their business and its function relative to Health and Safety.

After a further skill scan and meeting the candidate and their assessor can fully identify the suitability of the qualification and the benefit form it. And set an assessment plan and timetable to move forward with the qualification.
